Skin Rejuvenation Programmes

The natural process of ageing results in your skin becoming thinner and
drier. Fine blood vessels appear and brown spots are common particularly
if you like to sun bathe. These effects added together produce the signs
of ageing that we are all too well aware of, fine lines and wrinkles,
dry, sagging skin with multiple blemishes on the surface.
You may have considered that
the process of getting older was something that you could do nothing about
and that the ageing process in the skin was inevitable and irreversible.
Think again! Some of these changes, which occur in the skin, can
be slowed down and even reversed producing a true rejuvenating effect.
Whilst invasive procedures
such as surgery and lasers may be the preferred method of treatment for
many of the signs of ageing significant improvements can be achieved without
risks using a Skin Rejuvenating Programme.
These programmes use an individually tailored protocol
of creams, which are applied to the skin twice daily over a period of
weeks under the supervision of an experienced Medical Aesthetician. Prior
to starting the programme you will be seen for a skin assessment and your
treatment protocol will be designed specifically for your needs. You will
be advised of the intensity of the treatment required and the duration
of the programme according to your skin type and your needs. The programme
may last between two to six months and may then require a less intensive
maintenance programme to maintain the improvement in your skin.
Beauty Treatments

To give a natural-looking rejuvenation to your face, it's
important to make several small, subtle changes that individually do not
change the way you look, but overall give you a youthful appearance that
still looks like you.
To achieve this, it is often better to combine techniques.
At Plastic Surgery Partners - Facial Aesthetics we can develop an individualised facial rejuvenation programme
that we believe is right for you.
The factors that influence
skin ageing and how to avoid some of the causes of premature or accelerated
skin ageing.

The Do's

Do remember how much sun block you put on is as
.-
important as the sun protection factor

.-
body surface area (an area approximately the size of
.-
your palm)
The Don'ts
Don't use sun block as a means of staying in the sun
.-
for longer
Don't apply sun cream just before going out. It needs half
.- an hour
to settle in
Don't put sun block onto a sweaty body
Clothing

A hat protects the face
